Description
The third lantern for be designated Patt 45 this basic 500watt fresnel was introduced in 1960 and manufactured to 1978 when it was replaced by the Patt 833.
Not being fitted with a reflector it quickly became the butt of many electricians’ jokes claiming that you could get more light out of it by turning it round and opening the rear access door!

Fork mild steel, reversible, with thumbscrew tilt clamps
Lens 115mm dia. short focus Fresnel, recessed mounted with lens guard.
Fitted Lampholder P28 medium prefocus, porcelain body, fitted with 1m external length of heat-resisting cable.
Focus Adjustment recessed bottom slide focus.
